Background: Denzil was the result of a short relationship his mother had with one of her clients (while she worked as a prostitute), but he ran away when he found she was pregnant as he was married to someone else (he lived in America but was on a six month business trip to England) and did not want to ruin his relationship with his wife. Denzil was the only one of her children that she had because of anything other than a one night stand (he has two older sisters, and four younger, none of whom even know who their father is), and she always resented him for causing her lover to break up with her. She struggled for money, was often in between jobs and tended to drink quite a lot, as well as occasionally taking drugs, which didn't make things any easier. However, she always managed to provide for her daughters and gave them plenty of attention even when she couldn't provide material things, while Denzil was generally left out in the cold, often had to wear his sister's clothes because his mother refused to buy clothes for him, and he only ever managed to get any attention when he did something bad, even if it was only being yelled at. When he got yelled at, he would go and sulk, and when no one was sympathetic to him he would get angry again and take his frustration out on the nearest person or object.
Although the clothes he wore were not only feminine, as he began to grow, other kids on his estate began to notice that he dressed differently to them, and began to pick on him. Not only did that begin to make him angry, it also led to him starting to steal in order to get more appropriate clothes. From an early age he was often brought home by the police after vandalizing or shoplifting or occasionally even causing injury to people. When at home he would continually insult and generally be rude to his mother and siblings, often even breaking their possessions if they did anything back to him. He spent as much time out of the house as possible, he barely went to school and even when he did he spent more time picking on others, messing around and selling cigarettes he had stolen to other pupils, than he did actually learning anything. He refused to show any respect for or listen to his mother, sisters, teachers, or even the police. For a short time, he was sent across country to live with his grandmother, but she couldn’t handle him any more when one day, he trashed her living room after an argument with her, and sent him back to his mothers again. After that, she tried to load him on several different people including a couple of foster families, who couldn’t put up with him either. Eventually, he always came back to his mother, whether it be because he caused such a fuss by begging to go back to try and make things work (of course, he never could do, and this made him even more resentful), or because his mother suddenly decided she wanted him back, generally for the extra money.
When he was sixteen his father reappeared into his life after divorcing his wife. Although the family had moved to a slightly bigger flat on the estate, it was an area where most people knew everyone else, and so it didn’t take much finding. Originally, he went hoping to get back together with the boy’s mother, but she refused, given that he had abandoned her to begin with, and he ended up leaving again, and took Denzil with him, away from his mother and back to America with him; she happily let him go, because by now she was beginning to want to get rid of him again. Denzil resented his father for not being there for his life so far, especially given that he had finally appeared only two years before he would have been old enough to move out anyway, and it wasn’t helped by the fact that his father didn’t know him, and treated him in a way that Denzil didn’t like; his behavior did not improve in the slightest, if anything, it grew worse. His father did his best for him but could not control him or get respect from him. Just before his nineteenth birthday, he was arrested for beating severely and almost killing a guy who laughed him for his strange, non-American accent. He went to court, and it was agreed that the sentence would be suspended if he sought professional help for his issues: Denzil, who hated the thought of going to prison far more than going to a hospital, agreed to this easily. His father was glad to get rid of him for a while and happy to pay the cost of sending him somewhere to get help.

This character is not real, he has been created for amplified_rpg, and has absolutely no association with Caleb Ross, I am simply using his picture to represent him.
